Introducing the Papillote People’s Press

The first publication from the Papillote People’s Press is called Praise Songs, a beguiling collection of poetry by the Dominican-born poet and storyteller Jane Ulysses Grell. Drawing on the spirit of African griots who celebrate their subjects in words, Jane conjures up a vivid landscape that embraces both the traditional and the modern and explores journeys, memories and loss with both tenderness and exuberance.

This is an outstanding way to launch Papillote People’s Press, a new arm of Papillote Press: it’s less a traditional publisher and more a book production/subsidy company. For further information please check “People’s Press” on this website or contact
